Western Reserve Hospital has had an eventful start to the new year with numerous community outreach opportunities.
The Fairlawn State of the City Address was held at the Double Tree in Fairlawn and brought together over 100 Fairlawn Chamber of Commerce members to hear Mayor Russell Sharnsky’s address. Western Reserve Hospital continues to serve as Med Control for the City of Fairlawn and the event was a great opportunity to collaborate with and support the city.
The Cuyahoga Falls Schools annual career night hosted local businesses, including Western Reserve Hospital, where sophomore students visited the business booths to explore future career options. Many students were interested in healthcare and asked questions about the necessary education, skills needed and what it was like to work in a hospital.
Finally Western Reserve sponsored an informative heart health lunch and learn for local seniors at Hudson City Hall. The hospital shared information on heart health and encouraged seniors to know and acknowledge heart attack or stroke symptoms.
Being active in the community and supporting such important initiatives is always at the forefront of our enduring effort to provide the best care, information, and resources for the communities we serve.
