Western Reserve Hospital, through The Summa Foundation Osteopathic Medical Education Endowed Scholarship Fund, is pleased to offer a scholarship opportunity through the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine (OUHCOM). Some of the scholarship requisites are as follows:
- An OU-COM Year 1 through Year 4 student, in good academic standing at the college, from Summit, Medina, or Portage County.
- An OU-COM student(s) who intends to return to Summit County, or surrounding counties to practice primary care medicine, after completing a primary care residency.
- An OU-COM student(s) who intends to pursue a primary care residency in the Western Reserve Hospital's graduate medical education program.
- An OU-COM student(s) who is a previous recipient of The Summa Foundation Osteopathic Medical Education Endowed Scholarship will be given preference to receive this scholarship in subsequent years, as long as the student continues to meet the criteria set forth in the guidelines of the scholarship.
