You will receive diagnostics and personalized treatment plans through our cardiovascular laboratory services, which are designed to support your journey towards a healthier heart.

To properly diagnose a heart condition, we want to intervene at the earliest stage possible and get the most accurate reading on your heart. Our cardiologists have advanced training in cardiac imaging and testing, offering diagnostics such as:

Cardio Services Testing

  • Echocardiogram - Echocardiography allows your doctor to see how your heart is working by using sound waves to produce images of your heart. These images help them diagnose conditions such as problems with the aorta, issues with the heart valves and blood clots.
  • Stress Testing - A test done via physical exertion or via medications that simulate the effects of exercise on the heart
    • Exercise - stress test that uses physical activity like walking on a treadmill or cycling
    • Pharmacological - stress test that uses medications to simulate the effects of exercise on the heart
  • Holter Monitoring - Done via a portable electrocardiogram (ECG) that records the heart's electrical activity for a period of time (24 hours or more), while the patient goes about their daily life
    • 24/48 Hour Holter Monitors - A simpler approach that is shorter time frame that is less obtrusive for the patient, and can be useful for detecting frequently occurring arrhythmias (irregular heartbeats where the heart beats too fast, too slow, or in an irregular rhythm)
    • 3-14 day Extended Holter Monitoring/Event Monitoring - A more in-depth approach that allows for more ability to capture intermittent or paroxysmal arrhythmias and collect extensive data

Vascular Services Testing

  • Venous Duplex - a non-invasive imaging test that uses sound waves to visualize and assess blood flow in the veins, particularly in the legs and arm
  • Arterial Duplex - a non-invasive imaging test that uses sound waves to visualize and assess blood flow in the arteries
  • Carotid Duplex - a non-invasive imaging test that uses sound waves to visualize the carotid arteries in the neck, specifically the common carotid artery and the internal carotid artery
  • Aortoiliac Duplex - a non-invasive imaging test that uses ultrasound to examine the aorta and iliac arteries, the major blood vessels in the abdomen and pelvis
  • Renal Duplex - a non-invasive imaging test that uses sound waves to visualize the renal arteries, the blood vessels that supply blood to the kidneys
  • Mesenteric Duplex - an ultrasound procedure used to evaluate the blood flow in the arteries supplying the intestines and other abdominal organs
  • Arterial Doppler (PVR) - a non-invasive test that uses high-frequency sound waves to assess blood flow in arteries, particularly those supplying the arms and legs
  • Vein Mapping for bypass grafting - using ultrasound to create a map of veins, especially the saphenous vein
  • Vein Mapping for Dialysis fistula placement - an ultrasound procedure used to evaluate blood vessels, particularly veins in the arms, before an AV fistula is created for hemodialysis
  • Graft Surveillance for existing grafts - involves routine follow-up using duplex ultrasound to monitor for and prevent graft failure
