Your Back Yard for 95 Years!
We conserve, sustainably manage and value natural resources for the health and enjoyment of our community, and inspire people to connect with nature through clean and safe parks.
Founded in 1921, Summit Metro Parks is the second oldest park district in Ohio. We manage 14,000 acres, including 16 parks, several conservation areas and more than 150 miles of trails, with 22.4 miles of the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail. Annual attendance averages 5 million visits.
The park district is funded by a Summit County real-estate tax, approved by 75% in November 2013. The cost per $100,000 property valuation is $44.71.
The photos on display are a portion of those selected as part of Summit Metro Parks 20th annual photo exhibit that were on display at the F.A. Seiberling Nature Realm from January through June of this year.
The photos beautifully represent the 16 Summit Metro Parks.
