Denny Stoiber is a retired Landscape Architect and Engineer. He has studied watercolor painting at the Cuyahoga Valley Art Center (CVAC) in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, since January of 2013 under local artists Jack Mulhollen, Sally Heston and Linda Hutchinson, as well as nationally acclaimed artists Christopher Leeper and Sterling Edwards. In addition to his membership at CVAC, he is also a member of the Hudson Society of Artists and the Whiskey Painters of America*. Denny lives in Silver Lake.
The larger format watercolor paintings in this exhibition depict rural and nature landscape themes through the fall and winter seasons. The smaller format pieces are Whiskey paintings that take a playful look at seagull antics: Bauble, Gobble, Hobble and Squabble.
All pieces on display are for sale. If you are interested in purchasing, please contact Denny by email: dennis9250@att.net
*The Whiskey Painters of America (WPA) was founded in the late 1950s in Akron and is now spread across the USA (we even have a Canadian member). Our bylaws permit only 150 active members at a time, so our membership is small but mighty. And so are our paintings, which may be no larger than twenty square inches, approximately postcard size. As our name suggests, we use whiskey as a solvent for our paintings. See what we’re up to at https://whiskeypaintersofamerica.org/
