Every year, Western Reserve Hospital honors veterans for their service, including a sunrise service as well as a free luncheon sponsored by the Western Reserve Hospital Senior Coalition.
The annual sunrise service was held at the hospital's main entrance, where a few veterans and friends paused in reflection to honor veterans everywhere for all they have done for our freedom.
The Veterans Day Luncheon welcomed more than 100 guests, where veterans in attendance were honored with a special veterans pinning ceremony presented by Mayor Don Walters of Cuyahoga Falls and Mayor John Pribonic of Stow.
Attendees enjoyed lunch along with a presentation called "Tough Choices" by keynote speaker Major Eric Mansfield, Retired, United States Army. He shared details about his experience in Iraq.
The Cuyahoga Falls Police and Fire Honor Guard performed the Presentation of Colors and Pledge of Allegiance at the start of the program. The Cuyahoga Falls High School choir, M-Powered, performed “The Star-Spangled Banner” and “Amazing Grace”.
Thank you to everyone who has served and continues to serve today. Your service will always be honored, and we are grateful to recognize you alongside our community.
