Recently, Western Reserve Hospital joined in honoring local safety forces during National Police Week. The designated week, a time to honor those law enforcement officers that have lost their lives in the line of duty, includes National Peace Officers Memorial Day on May 15.
As part of the recognition, lunches were delivered to Cuyahoga Falls, Hudson, Stow and Munroe Falls police officers to thank their staffs for the bravery and dedication to keeping all of us safe.
"Thank you so much for the food as part of the National Police Week celebration," said Mike Murphy, Patrolman, Stow Police Department. "I tell people all the time that it may not seem police are appreciated by what is often expressed in the media, but we see almost daily that is not the truth, and that most people do respect our profession and what we do. Thanks again to the hospital for this outreach."
