Dr. Gregory Hill, Chairman of the Department of Surgery, recently published his own book called Through It All: How Sacrifice and Service Helped in Achieving my Dream of Becoming a Surgeon. 

Dr. Hill’s memoir offers an inspiring look into his life journey thus far, leading to his success as an orthopedic surgeon with Unity Health Network and encouraging others along the way. 

Dr. Hill and the staff of Western Reserve Hospital and Unity Health Network celebrated his success with a book launch event on Friday, August 16 in Western Reserve Hospital’s Auditorium. He previously hosted a local book signing event at his alma mater, Buchtel Community Learning Center, in May, where he was able to engage with current students and encourage them to stay focused on their goals. 

“It comes as no surprise that Dr. Hill’s book is racking up 5-star reviews. Dr. Hill is a loyal caregiver to our community, leading Unity Health Network’s Orthopedic Surgery division and our hospital’s Department of Surgery,” said Dr. Robert Kent, President and CEO, Western Reserve Hospital.

Western Reserve Hospital donated at least one copy of the book to all Summit County libraries for the community to read at their convenience, including Cuyahoga Falls, Stow-Munroe Falls, Barberton, Twinsburg, Peninsula, Kenmore, and all other Akron-Summit County locations.
